Cullercoats and the environment

At Cullercoats we are determined to do whatever we can to help improve and safeguard the environment. This includes becoming a net zero company by 2030, which we will achieve in the following ways.

We will fully evaluate our suppliers’ commitment to the environment before making purchases from them.

Every capital expenditure will be assessed to ensure we only ever purchase they most energy-efficient products on the market.

Where reasonably practicable, we will improve our renewable energy on each site.

We will encourage our employees to cycle to work or use public transport, where practicable.

We will plant 20,000 trees by 2030.

Our social responsibilities

Cullercoats takes its social responsibilities very seriously indeed. We are committed to employing a diverse local workforce and are proud to provide spaces where the local community can come to learn and exchange ideas, as well as socialise.

We are also delighted to support charities with a strong local presence and have pledged to donate 10% of our profits to Cash For Kids and the RNLI.

Our business has been developed with a continuous improvement mindset. Every month we monitor our activities to asses how we are performing against our goals and report on what we find.

At Cullercoats we respect and appreciate every member of our fantastic team. So we’ve committed to abide by the Living Wage scheme, which will ensure that all of our employees, whatever their role, will earn a wage that is enough to live on.
